Booking policies: buffer, auto-confirm and rules

Configure how clients book: buffer time between appointments, automatic or manual confirmation, slot interval and cancellation policies.

5 minutes4 steps

In Settings → Bookings section you set the rules of the game: how much space to leave between appointments, whether to accept bookings automatically and how far in advance clients can cancel. Five minutes of setup that save you arguments and gaps in your calendar.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Buffer time

The buffer adds an automatic break between appointments (e.g. 10 minutes to reset your station). Clients cannot book slots that do not respect the buffer.

  2. Automatic or manual confirmation

With auto-confirm, online bookings are accepted instantly. Prefer to approve each one? Turn it off: you get a notification for every request and decide yourself. When starting out, manual gives more control; once your calendar is busy, automatic saves time.

  3. Slot interval

The slot interval defines how often bookable times start (e.g. every 15 or 30 minutes). Shorter intervals fill the calendar better; longer ones keep it tidier.

  4. Cancellation policies

In booking policies you define how far in advance a client can cancel or reschedule. The rules are shown to the client at booking time: clarity first, zero arguments later.

Settings apply to new bookings; confirmed ones do not change. Review your policies from time to time: with a full calendar, stricter rules (e.g. 24h cancellation) protect your time.
