Managing team shifts
How to plan your staff shifts: creating a shift, assigning it, automatic notifications and what your team member sees in their app.
If you work with a team, shifts let you plan who is in and when. Shifts also drive online booking availability: clients can only book a team member while they are on shift. Each member sees their own shifts in their app, in the Shifts tab.
Step-by-step guide
Open team management
From the bottom bar double-tap Services (shortcut) or open All actions → Team. Select the team member whose shifts you want to manage.
Create the shift
Set day, start and end time. You can add a note (e.g. "opening" or "color only"). A shift can be one-off or repeated across weekdays.
Assignment and activation
Shifts you create and assign are activated automatically and the team member receives a notification. No extra manual steps: as soon as the shift is active, the member's online availability updates.
What the team member sees
In their app, the member finds the Shifts tab with their assigned shifts, the status of each one and the notes. They only see their own shifts, not their colleagues'.
Tip: if a team member cannot be booked online, first check they have an active shift on the requested day, then that their services are assigned correctly.
