Create your professional profile from scratch

How to set up your initial ZenBookr profile: business category, opening hours, service area, weekly schedule. Complete setup in 10 minutes.

Your professional profile is the starting point. It defines how you appear on the marketplace, what services you offer, when you're available, and where you operate. A well-configured profile drastically reduces "wrong-fit" client contacts.

This guide walks you through the first setup. Average time: 10-15 minutes if you have your data ready.

What you'll need

  • Valid email and phone number for verifications
  • Professional profile photo (square, at least 400×400 px)
  • Business logo (if you have one)
  • Address of your venue (if you have a physical location)
  • List of services with pricing and duration
  • Weekly opening hours

Step-by-step guide

  1. Create your account with email

    Go to app.zenbookr.app and click "Sign up as professional". Enter:

    • Email: use one you check daily (notifications arrive there)
    • Password: minimum 8 chars, mix of upper/numbers/symbols
    • Business name: as you want to appear to clients

    You'll receive verification email within 1 minute. If it doesn't arrive, check SPAM and click "Resend".

  2. Choose category and business type

    Select main category: Hairdresser, Beauty / Aesthetics, SPA / Massage, Personal Trainer, Naturopath / Holistic, Yoga / Pilates, Other wellness.

    Category influences where your profile appears in the marketplace and which default service templates ZenBookr offers.

    Important for hairdressers and beauticians: if offering home services, remember local regulations (in Italy: L. 174/2005, L. 1/1990 have restrictions; check local laws in DE/AT/UK).

  3. Configure address or service area

    3 options based on how you work:

    1. Fixed physical venue: full address. Marketplace shows venue on map.
    2. Home services only: skip address, set km radius from your base.
    3. Hybrid venue + home: address + km radius for mobile services. Client chooses at booking.

    For hybrid you can also configure travel cost (e.g. €5 fixed + €0.30/km over 10 km).

  4. Set weekly opening hours

    For each weekday (Mon-Sun):

    • Morning open + close (e.g. 09:00-13:00)
    • Afternoon open + close (e.g. 14:30-19:30)
    • Lunch break: automatic between the two slots
    • Closed day: toggle "Closed today"

    Tip: complex shifts allow up to 3 slots/day. For vacations/closures use "Time blocks" from Settings after onboarding.

  5. Upload profile photo and gallery

    Profiles with professional photos receive ~40% more bookings on average. Upload:

    • Profile photo (required): square, 400×400+, neutral background
    • Logo (optional): PNG with transparent background
    • Gallery: 3-6 photos of venue/work (max 5 MB, 4:3 or 16:9 ratio)

    Photos are manually reviewed by ZenBookr team (max 24h business hours).

  6. Preview and publish

    Before publishing, click "Preview client profile" to see exactly how clients see you. Check:

    • Name, photo, category correct
    • Hours displayed in your locale/timezone
    • Address/area on map
    • Empty rating at start (normal)

    Click "Publish profile". Profile enters "Under review". Team verifies photos + completeness. Once approved (max 24h) you get confirmation email and profile becomes publicly visible.

    After publication, configure your services — without services nobody can book.

Common issues

"Profile stuck in review for 48h+"

Possible causes: low-quality photos, suspicious contact data. Check email (incl. SPAM). Contact us if needed.

"Address not found on map"

Verify full address. You can manually position the pin by dragging it.

"Want to change category after publishing"

Possible from Settings > Profile > Category. Resets default service templates (your already configured services remain).
